Short Bio
A writer of fiction, book reviews, and essays, Hardy also translates from Turkish into English. He received his MFA from the City College of New York and has published numerous stories, articles, and a book chapter in The Gotham Writers’ Workshop Guide to Writing Fiction (Bloomsbury). He was the English translator for Armenians (a photo and essay exploration of Armenians living in Turkey today), as well as translating Murat Özyaşar’s story in the Kurdish issue of Words Without Borders. His writing has appeared in fresh.ink, New Flash Fiction, Alimentum, The Washington Post, Assisi, and American Letters & Commentary, among others.
Hardy is the founding editor of Novel Slices, the only publication devoted solely to novel excerpts, and is an editor at Cable Street (formerly Witty Partition).
